and every retailer under the sun is making their own brand.....
So hopefully you can also contribute with some ideas, and we can make this work........I will report as I keep going...but Im close to the right product at the right price............
This has to be the most exciting thing I have done in many many years...
I have no money left and have 'hung in' to this point where Im ready to fire....
Approach is 2 fold...
Education and Background....
Originally from South Africa...Johannesburg
Played Rugby at top level ...and was very average water polo player.
As for school I dont recall ever doing home-work ..
I graduated with a University pass, I attempted Univ of Witwatersrand for
1 year...and I was still trying to meet girls, when Exams were done..
I think I passed 1 subject Economics !!
So for me
Education was .......FIT Fashion Institute of Technology...NY
I did Apparel Production Managment, beer drinking and gorgeous woman Up to the Eyeballs...
I lived in the dorms, i was one 1 of 5 straight males amongst 300 to 400 women... and half a dozen
or so Gay men...
Needless to sat there were 15000 students at the school... WOW!!!!!!!
This was Paradise and this was NYC........

So I have been in and out of Consumer market for many years..
First Job was working with Clothing Designer wear...... copy everybody else's
work and act fabulous, famous and fantastic.....convince buyers you know what's going on, and pray for a big order.....what an 'honest' futile existence!!!!!!
My first Direct Marketing campaign was....... I had Designed, plagiarized a little
chair to rest your head on when lying in the Sun at the beach.
Needless to say I went all over the world from the Greek Island to South Florida
beach to beach...In the sun with a great tan,
friendly as hell, party at night and I tell you....my first school in Direct Marketing was
absolutely a brilliant time!!!
Next few years was Doing the Wall Street Broker thing...Johannesburg Stock Exchange
then to Wall Street where I was making 300 calls a day...selling penny stocks with stories
to trusting US citizens...Boy have things changed..
Eventually on the board of a Nasdaq Company, again dishonest people scamming for cash..
I resigned in a hurry...its posted some-where on the internet.....
So then onto consumer electronics....
I started with a friend of mine who had the hookup with PSION which was the first
Symbian device..this was pre internet. actually it was the cusp...we were extremely successful, but Palm Pilot and a bunch of other things...... and the that was the end of the company and Psion..
Who sold their IP to a conglomerate of Sony, Erikson and Nokia...i think...maybe Motorola...but the Symbian OS was sound and pretty stable....
I moved out to LA and started selling shopping carts at Flea markets and big Meets and eventually
found myself selling these carts at a computer show....huge monitors in those days ...I was an instant hit.....shew!!!!!...I had made a plan to survive comfortably again....
Well at this one particular Computer Show in Pamona CA, I met a great kid who was a Stanford dropout and was selling Joy Sticks....Needless to say I ended up selling Joysticks and 3D glasses all over the US...From City to City at these Computer shows.....a whole new world opened up....
My knowledge of just about each and every major city in the US is quite remarkable.....
Next My first real direct marketing success.....
